Welcome! It is truly an honour to be the President of Eastwood Entertainers, especially as this is my first time in this role. I am beyond grateful for the incredibly strong and supportive committee that is behind me, and I look forward to the exciting journey we will share together in the years to come. This year is particularly special as we celebrate a remarkable milestone: our 50th Anniversary! What began in 1975 with a dedicated group of individuals, affectionately known as the 'Aunties,' has grown into
the thriving and vibrant community that we are today. Their initial venture, the 'Pantomimers," was born from a noble cause — to fundraise for the 77th Glasgow Disabled Scouts and help them with their foreign trip. That spirit of community, generosity, and passion has remained at the heart of what we do. Over the years, this spirited group evolved in both purpose and identity, and we adopted the name we are so proud to carry today as Eastwood Entertainers.
Now, 50 years later, we continue to grow, evolve, and inspire, staying true to the legacy of those early pioneers. I am thrilled to announce that, for this special 50th anniversary production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, we have an incredible creative team leading the way; welcoming Jon Cuthbertson as our Director, Mairi Warren returning as our Musical Director, and Jenn McKay returning as our Choreographer. Their talent, vision, and dedication will undoubtedly make this a truly unforgettable show. Here's to the next 50 years of Eastwood Entertainers - may we continue to entertain, inspire, and bring joy to all who join us. Thank you and I hope you enjoy our special show.
